2.5mm Twin and Earth (T&E) non-migratory cable is a specialised electrical cable designed with a purple or blue sheath to prevent chemical reactions when on contact with materials like polystyrene.
Unlike standard PVC cables, its insulation contains specific compounds that do not "migrate" or leach out plasticisers, which would otherwise cause standard cable sheaths to become brittle and crack over time.
